Hey guys, there's a buyers/sellers section over in the forsale area of the forum where you can check people out before buying from them. Just search on their user name and see what comes up. On that note, the mods will probably move this thread there. Tom

well, hopefully, the "canadaian mounted express" is going to try and hold it....scheduled delivery is today. they are sending a message to the depot where the check was sent to hold it for a couple of days. i emailed violator 3 times with no response. surely his friend, pumped, would let him know that there is a thread about this and it would be in his best interest to clarify things.
in the parts for sale/wanted forum he has a listing with the radiator and power fc PLUS money to possibly trade for a set of factory wheels and tires. wtf? he told me he sold his car last tuesday and was awaiting my money order. hopefully the courier service will come through and he will be waiting until he brings them the items and ships them out -- then they release the check.

if this guy is on the up and up, don't you think i would here from him or he would post? i mean, this is $1,400.00 we're talking about. or maybe he's just lying low, hoping to get some poor, unsuspecting people to finance HIS FD project.
personally, i can't knowingly **** people like that. one's conscious is a powerful thing....well, some people's is.
i hope we are all making a mountain out of a mole hill: a) because i've got a big foot and it'll be hard to get out of my mouth if all this is a mistake; b) i would like to give him the benefit of the doubt because i am an honest person and would take time/priority to take care of whatever business i have pending with someone....especially when money is concerned; and, uhhh, c) that means i get my new radiator and power fc!!!!!

matwey, let us know if you receive the speaker

HONEST people sometimes do get ahead!!!

as for violator, if you are truly selling these parts and want the money, respond to my emails and we can work something out.

use www.tradenable.com in the future...or is it www.tradeenable.com..i forget....regardless if you send money and they send items you get two days to approve the items and the little bit extra it costs is totally worth it.

i bought an fcon a couple years ago and he didnt send the harnesses...had to threaten to send to the fbi internet fraud peoples thru parts traders site...he buckled and sold it to someone else and obviously had them send me the money.

an escrow is the only way to go when dealing with larger numbers.

i wonder why violater is selling his pfc...he was wanting to buy mine a couple months back

MMonaco - I've dealt with Paypal's fraud department before, and they were awesome. They've gotten me back transactions as small as $12 with no fees, in about 2 weeks. This is in contrast to a place like Ebay that has some service, and if the seller screws you, Ebay won't look at the claim unless it's a certain amount of money, and on top of that, they charge you like $25 to investigate and get money returned, if they can. I think Paypal does much better because in order to join and receive money, they have to have access directly to a bank account, so it's a bit more secure with a bank they have to deal with as well. Only issue now, is that Ebay has purchased Paypal, so I'm hoping the level of service doesn't drop. Hope all works out for you guys.

Well we all gots to make a trip!

If any of my FD buds don't get what they purchased from Violator....I'll have flyers out every where at RX7stock to let everyone know about the ordeal...We are FD owners...honest peeps, dependable and we do not rip off each other! If not...we just make a lil trip to Canada or where ever he is and kidnap his FD which we'll hold for ransom!

Good luck fellas...I hope the products get to you all!

Paypal is ****. It works fine if both parties are truly honest people and that's about all that it's good for. Once someone decides to screw someone else, Paypal starts to **** up. Case in point ... I sent this person a part last summer (2001), in July, $775 transaction. Come November, FOUR MONTHS LATER, this person decides to tell Paypal that the part was never received ... I guess someone needed holiday cash. At this point, the tracking information was long gone, and it was Thanksgiving holiday time so I didn't get my email from Paypal to respond to them in 48 hours or whatever it was. Nevertheless, they fed me some honey-baked bullshit and reversed the transaction ... violating their 30 day policy and clearly lying to me about this person's credit card issuer's policy as to how they were only allowed to give me 48 hours to respond to their intial email. Anyways, I still "owe" Paypal this money.

That's my warning about Paypal. They're a bullshit operation with several lawsuits against them for their lackluster customer support, poor information disclosure, and shadey business practices. I sure hope this works out for you, matwey. Like people have said, give it a few more days from Canada.

UPDATE!!!!!
Received a pm from voilator. Said he'd received the package back from the postman. He'd written the wrong address and needed my correct one. I'm going to ask him to refund my $, I'm going to buy from someone else. I paid for these July 16th. I'll admit I have no patience. But, in his defence, he did contact me.

faith could possibly be restored! i received a email from jay. he explained what happened with matwey's speakers and that evrything should work out for him.

as for me and our deal, the courier service who is holding the check (until i call to release it) is apparently one of two services he can ship through due to the size of the radiator. pretty convenient. he has to bring the items to the shipper and then he can pick up the check.

keepin' fingers crossed.....you guys do too

thanks for the heads up and concern fellow FD owners, roy

good luck to all of you who are afraid of getting scammed, and keep in mind the concept of not trusting anybody. i learned my lesson the hard way, via professor tim worley/sergio soto when i got gypped out of $750 a while back. they still havent found that ************, and i have pretty much lost faith in the idea that anyone every will. but if they do, i am going to feed him his own ***** dipped in his own ****.

okay, sorry about that... enough venting! good luck with all of your transactions, and i hope this episode keeps this forum closer and more aware of what *could* happen over the internet.

Welll, I'd be nice if I could say the same. I pm'd him and told him I wanted my $ back, the deal has taken too long. Still no responce. No next day air, nothing. $30.00 is not a huge deal, but any responce would be nice. Voilator? As I've said, now all I want is my $ back, to much b/s.
