Btw, pay no attention to the inaccurate titles and descriptions. My brother had good intentions, lol.

Both vids are 15 psi on 93 octane. I used to have the jacobs amp, which i junked because of all the problems it gave me. I'm running a twinpower now and wish I would have installed one years ago

I basically scrapped my ignition setup and moved to something newer all at once, so it's tough to say what helped. In those vids I'm pretty sure I was able to shift close to redline, 7500ish. It had gotten worse, down to 7k, which drove me nuts. Now I'm seeing 8000, which is really damn nice
old setup: fc leading coil, original ignition wiring harness, three year old NGK wires, b10egv plugs, jacobs old style rotary pro pack
new setup: 3k mile leading coil, brand new ign wire harness, new ngk 9s, HK$ twinpower

Rich... More proof w/ the twin power. My buddy in Orlando made 382 @17 on a to4s w/ some breakup up top. I unplugged my twin power and they tuned the car at 387 at 15 psi w/ it!!

Sorry to bring this back from the dead...
Ive got my 2 magnaflow 4" x 20" canister, 35148 magnaflow tip, some 4" bends and a chunk of straight pipe.
Hey, Rich can you post up some engine bay and exhaust tip pictures?
Based on the pictures that I have seen, your tip should be at an angle to the right.
I am interested to see what it looks like, Thanks in advance,
=Ben

looks really nice. Do you have any videos of just cruising down the road? I'm curious if its very loud under highway cruise. Also what size exhaust were you running before and how much did it effect spool going larger? Any before and after dyno numbers?

Kai, are you sure you gained that much spool?
I'm still running the same 4 inch dp and res mp, but have since switched out to an apexi GT spec (almost 4 inch piping). The larger rear muffler quiets things down a little bit, and the ability to use their Active Tailpipe Silencer for long trips is a huge plus in my book. The old catback with the smaller magnaflow muffler sounded great but was retarded loud, beyond even my threshold/tolerance, which is pretty damn high
With this setup my EGTs are nice and cool, and there is minimal backpressure. I've noticed that when at Deals Gap and really hammering on the car, my coolant, intake, and EGT stayed within check despite flogging the car over an 11 mile course.

Yes Rich I am sure as I did a comparison, I normally would get full boost at around 4000 RPM but since I changed the exhaust it would hit full boost at 3500 to 3600, and now that I went back to a 3 inch it spools back to 4000 RPM.

Hey Rich, Would you be so kind as to upload a picture of your car with the magnaflow catback? I am really curious to see what it looked like. Maybe a picture of the downpipe from the engine bay would be nice too.
As you may have read in my above post, I am going a very similar setup.
Thanks in advance.

I'll have to dig up some pics of the car from the rear, but if you go on streetfire and search for my videos you'll see some shots from the read.

Cool sounds like i might have to go 4" too. Thats quite a bit faster spool. it seems hard to imagine it would lower spool so much since the engine doesn't have as much exhaust that it's putting out at low rpms.
Anyone know if a mack truck muffler would quiet things down much? They are a straight through design right? I found some 4" x 9" x 36" mack truck mufflers for pretty cheap. Seems like the larger canister would quiet it down more, except i have no idea what kind of material if any they use to absorb the sound. Any one know?
