Restrictor plate size?

Hey guys, so I'm looking to run a midpip just for fun. I don't drive my FD much anymore so I want it to be loud, shooting flames etc, lots of fun. I have all the other bolt-ons (PFC tuned for midpipe already, 1300cc sec, v-mount w/ airbox, dp, cb, etc etc) I'm just wondering what size restrictor I should make since I don't have a ported wastegate on my stock twins. Thanks

-Andy

I would suggesting trying out your system before trying to go with a restrictor. Not all cars experience boost creep.

Ok, I have heard this as well, so I guess I'll just have to set my PFC cut a bit lower and test haha. But I want to have the hole diameter ready for when I have lift time.

What is the inner diameter of it then?

The one i used was 2.5. My friend used a 2.75 and he had no creep unless it is >40 degrees then he has little creep.

Like Mahjik said above, try it out first. If creep is evident then go with a 2" restrictor in the midpipe in the back set of flanges, next to the diff. Then experiment. If no creep, pull it and open it up with a rat tail file. I ran a 2-1/4" restrictor back when I was single and still had an automatic. I made the plate out of 3/16" aluminum sheet. And YES it did hold up, bulged a bit to the rear, but held up fine. Two bolts and it was in my hand. I still have it in one of my parts bins.
