Replacing ECU water temp. sending unit?
I wanted to ask anyone who's replaced the water temp. sensor for the ECU what tool they used to do this?
I'm trying to replace mine, but I just can't fit anything correctly behind the housing. The only thing that actually fits is a standard open wrench, however even that I can't get over the nut completely because it hits against the sides of the housing? I tried once but since it doesn't get a good grip it slips when I put some pressure on it.
I'd appreciate any help to get it out, I'm going to be using my PFC display only for water temp. and I'd like to put in the new sensor to be sure it's accurate Thanks!

I replaced the thermo switch which is down there too. Used a couple things to get to it - semi deep socket (deep leaves no room for the ratchet and normal has no space to get the ratchet on the socket). You may want to try one of those dog bone wrenches, they are cheep enough. You can sort of get an open end wrench on there, maybe??

I'd have to see about a semi-deep socket, I couldn't use mine because there's no space and it hits the metal bars for the vacuum lines
