Removing Engine W/ Tranny
so to remove the engine w/ the tranny still attached...
i disconnected the ECU main harness, all coolant/oil lines, the ignition wiring harness, the starter assembly
both motor mounts have nuts removed....
so all i need to do now is disconnect the PPF from the tranny, and the clutch hydraulic assist, and then the tranny should slide away from the drive shaft? how does that work? what about the electrical connectors on the tranny, how many should i remove? do i need to drain the tranny fluid first?
is there a how-to on this?

Do a search on engine removal and/or my user name, you have it all wrong...
Clutch master cyl and starter stay attached along with practically everything else. Remove the driveshaft from the diff, it makes reinstallation easier.
Drain the trans. Don't remove any electrical connectors from the tranny. Unplug the two gray plugs in front of the drivers side strut tower. The battery terminals and small fuse box with the motor.

You don't necessarily have to drain the tranny, as long as you have another input shaft available. Not likely but if you have a trashed driveline you could hack off the input shaft of the driveline and bungy/tape/ziptie it in place and you tranny wouldn't leak when angled.
