Removing Coolant overflow reservoir

Removing Coolant overflow reservoir
I'm replacing this in my girlfriend's 93' RX-7 after it cracked at nearly every seam.
I have a identical unused replacement from mazdatrix.
I tried to remove the old one by removing the entire left headlight assembly, but that area is partitioned off from where the reservoir is.
Then I tried to remove the airbox, but I couldn't get it out and it looks like you would also need to remove the assembly that raises and lowers the headlight as well, in addition to all these other wires and various crap.
Is it possible to get to it from underneath the car?
If you've done this before, please advise me on how you got to it.
Thanks, T/W

You can do it all through the passenger liner. I though I would have to take the bumper off but didn't need to. You can reach the bolts behind the headlight by tanking the plastic surround around the headlight glass off and using an extension and a wobble. Everything else is really straight forward once you get the liner off.

It's really easy....Remove the front bumper, radiator, AC condensor, fans, pwr str loop, intake, etc. Take a spot weld drill bit and drill out every spot weld holding the front cross bracing on, including the headlight frames. Push the ring harness up along with the relay box out of the way. By that time, everything is off the front of the car and you should be looking the bottle right in the eye - remove one harness clip, one hose and one 6mm bolt. Waaallllaaa !!
Then again maybe I should of just looked on page S-16 of the manual and saw how the fender liners come off. Oh well, got to so some welding now.

I replaced the overfill tank with a smaller one from a 1990 Toyota pickup and installed it in front of the intakes. Then routed a flex plastic 3 inch hose from the open oil cooler duct directly to the intake, nice cold air!
