Remove Purge Control Valve?

I was wondering if I can remove the purge control valve, what is it needed for. I am removing my double throttle, is it as easy to remove it a cap the lines? Please let me know if it is really needed, or is it just another B.S valve from mazda?

it's easy. they (mazda) removed it in 95+ models. I did it in about 10min. You need 2 caps and some zip ties.. that's it.

It's on one of the how to sites. I forget which one. There's a diagram on that site. the PCV is connected from under the UIM to the neck of the Oil Fill Point. remove the PCV, the connecting hoses and cap where the hoses used to be.
