Well my comment is more to remove it than replace it. I have NEVER (Knocking on wood now) had a coolant issue due to removal of the AST.( That is blown o-rings or just running hotter) However: I HAVE had at least three coolant seals(customers) go out due Specifically to the AST, Either splitting the seams or having a cap malfunction and leak all the coolant out.
I hate them and they are just one more weak link in an already hampered system. IMO of course
And I'm sorry but the argument of "The Mazda engineers put them there so they need to be there" Can Blow me!!. There are far too many things that these brilliant engineers messed up on with these cars. And plenty of room for improvment..
And back on topic again, I too really like that hood. It is a good fresh/new look other than all the copies being made out there. And the Front fender flares have a bit of an Escudo look to them. Kinda cool I think.

thanks all for comment I'll try best to answer all your question.
- The hood's custom made just have only 1 i buy it from japan.
- Water temp around 87-98'c. (use APEXi Power-FC to control the fan to hight step @ 75'c.)
- Air temp around 47-65'c.
- Still have air condition and it's OK in summer
- Use octane 95 fuel
- The engine block never open. All original apex and port. (now 50000km. start modify at 30000km.)
- All modify doing with my friend at his house and the ECU tuner's my brother.
- Next step coming soon will changing the turbine front wheels to T78 33D but still use T88H Compressor Housing and all back side (cause i think T88H 34D have too big turbine front wheels for boost up and not smoot to climb the LEV) and i'll boost up to 1.2bar or around 18psi

Look at it logically in case you don't believe me: A stock engine bay has many plastic parts and they are all black. Now why is the AST the only one green? and almost almost transparent...

no blow off valve?
This is one of those topics that can turn into a long argument with no end.
That said there are alot of cars not running BOV's. Mainly the ones that come to mind are the WRC rally cars. They just use the wastegate for boost control. That is why they sound like birds chirping thru the woods. ( Wastegate chirping)
From a reliability standpoint, I don't like it. But if you rebuild after the race anyways that is not a big concern.
That's my take on the BOV issue at least

running w/o a blow off streeses the turbo also right? since the preeuseized air cant escape when the throttle butterflies close
