Rear Defrost

Rear Defrost
First and foremost, I searched!!
As for the thread, I am having problems with my rear defrost. The problem has been there since I bought the car (nearly two years), but lately is starting to bother me. When I turn the rear defrost on, only a small section of a few bars towards the top actually work and the rest will now work at all.
I believe the reason they don't work is the shitty job someone before me did tinting the window. This tint doesn't look bad far away but is horrible up close, but I have opted to leave it on.
What I think I know (from other's info) is that the bars are actually a conductive cooper paint. I also understand that they are very fragile.
I want to know how I could fix this or where I can take it to have it fixed. If this requires removing the tint, that is not a problem. I understand I could just get another hatch, but would like to try alternate ways before I go that route.
Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance

You will have to take the tint off to repair it. All u need ot repair it is a multimeter and a $10 repair kit from autozone.
You use the multi meter to find where the breaks in the lines are, then after u track that down, just follow the directions on the repair kit to repair it. Easy BReezy
