What about fitting vette lights into the equation? They dont look that enormous, and they light beautifully.

Keep in mind that you can't see the structure of the light behind the cover. The FD was never made to have fixed lights, so there's very little room to work with, while the Corvette was designed that way and has broader (and deeper) fenders.

BTW, I hope no one gets the mistaken idea that I'm putting these covers down. I just have a certain way I want things, but if this is "it", I'm in for a pair or two.

How about just making headlights that are mounted in the combo light location since you're now fabricating plastic parts etc. You'd probably get a lot better lighting but the height might be a bit too low to be legal. Then the stock light covers could be retained : )

If I make it without wrap arounf the base, will you guys still be interested? Cuz it seems like very tie fit. But if you guys can readjsu the fender, bumper and hood, then it should fit okay. I was not able to close my hood cuz FEED hood was a bit off. I'm sure stock one is okay.
Second, for sure I will not be using 90mm fog lights. It is just too big to fit into the pod. 70mm fog light will be use instead. the lights will be extend foward more. People ask won' the lighting wires and housing be showing. To solve that problem, a custom made cover will be made. It will cover up the 90mm outter whole then extend to thefog light. Looks some more like the Cwest kit.
Keep in mind:
1. RE base pod will be the same.
2. The clear top cover will fit any RE Pods.
3. Still no need to cut the frame.
4. 70mm Fog light can fit a H3 HID kit.
BTW I'm thinking to add a orange signal light on it, so look like the FC sleek kit. What you guys think?
This kit will be delay for awhile. Due to chinese new year. Happy New Year! hehe

The fitment issue is what I posted about earlier. The warp around idea is excellent and I think it is the answer but it wont work on an RE pod, or at least mine, becouse of tight fitment. And triming the pod is a little more complicated then it sounds. I sanded the edge of my pod to make it fit better and becouse it is made by bonding two halfs together -it separated and I had to rebond it. No big deal just alittle more work. I think to do it right a new pod would need to be made that was about 1/8inch smaller all around.

Indeed... seems like if it's cost effective to manufacture sealed, 1-piece replica '99 turn signals for $150, it wouldn't really be any more money to manufacture light pods that way either... the only cost difference would then be the actual Hella 90mm lights themselves.

Bingo.
Bingo.
