There could be a host of reasons for that as well. Your car will need to have had the fan update TSB done if it's a '93. Also, if your heatsoak has exceeded 214 degrees F a while after you've shut down (entirely possible), the fan update won't start your fans. If you have a faulty relay within the cluster of four fan relays, then that will negate the fan update as well.

not the problem. fan comes on with the ignition and go's off when ignition is shut off.

My response was not directed at your particular problem, but at 1QWIK7's inference that the fans cannot activate with key out and ignition off.

Again, I would check PFC settings, as well as A/C function with the relays.

Yeah I run a PowerFC, I know I can change the temperature settings, my fans are currently coming on at 95c. I cannot find a setting that could be related to the ignition.

Like I said earlier, the fans come on when I put the ignition at "on" position and they go off as soon as I start the car, I have a big doubt my Thermoswitch is the problem since the fans are working perfectly and come on at 95c.

First, check to see which relays are actually sending juice to the fans. I can't give you 100% explicit directions because I don't have an FD in front of me right now and I can't see the relays or their connectors. But with the key in the "ON" position (the condition under which you are having this problem), disconnect the fan relays one-by-one. The relay's location and number comes from the FSM diagrams above.

Begin with relays 2 and 4 (those get signal from the PFC). Then disconnect relay #3 (from the thermoswitch) and finally relay #1 (from the heater control panel).

Which of these relays disabled the fan when unplugged? If the fans still run with all the relays disconnected you've got something else going on. Does unplugging only one relay just make the fans "slow down" ?

ok after a week and a half of messing with this thing, tested every relay, pulled off the uim checked everything possible. finally came to the conclusion that it was a problem with the power fc. so i went to pull out the computer and there was a little black wire coming from the power fc going to the center console so i followed it. seems the previous owner of the car mounted a switch in the ashtray to keep the fans on. all that work and headache and it was a simple toggle switch put there by some ***! but hey at least now i know what that switch in the ashtray does lol.

^ Cool! At least you figured it all out in the end, and learned a lot in the process.

Glad it all worked out.
