i have a PFC, i cut the 4 wires needed on the install.
datalogit will be here soon.

my fans absolutely do not come on untill the thermoswitch is triggered.

any comon wiring issues to look into? i know i could use the fan switch mod but i'd like things to be working correctly in this sense on their own.

The fans are controlled by those four relays on the passenger side wheel well by the air box. One of them specifically controls turning on the fans with the A/C. Check out this link and look at the third pic: http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/fan_circuit.html. Looks like the A/C switch is connected to Relay #1. See if those relays are in good working order. The previous owner of my car had removed this particular relay for God knows what reason and the plug for it was all melted. Replaced the relay and the harness and I was back in business.
