Radiator and AST caps
How come i see on websites that FDs were recalled for a cooling system upgrade and the radiator cap was changed from 1.3 bar to 0.9 bar..
Now i was thinking of getting an aftermarket better performing cap and i notice that greddy and Blitz are offering caps which are 1.3 and 1.2 bars respectively...
Why is that?
Also where should i get the caps from??

Also if i go for the Pettit racing AST...
What if after a very long drive or a hard run i turn the car off and open the hood and with the lever cap vent the pressure.. would that be good or bad?? would that keep the temperatures cooler??
Any comments...

Here's a good post about the recall:

Most folk go with the 13lb cap for safety. Besides, if you are relying on three more lbs of pressure to cure your cooling woes, you have more serious problems. 13 lbs and decent radiator, good caps and hoses, 70/30 water coolant mix should perform FINE in all but the worst stop and go. Then the fan mod takes over nicely
