Racelogic TC help!
I have a Racelogic Traction Control unit I want to install in my car. I was wondering if I could remove my abs system and still run the TC. I Understand it works off the abs sensors, so would there be a way to remove the abs and retain the abs speed sensors????

InsaneGideon you are correct. Infact, RaceLogic even sells aftermarket sensors for cars that do not have stock ABS units.
massi, although I'm not sure why you'd want to remove your ABS (perhaps weight?), you should have no problem as long as you leave your sensors in place for the RaceLogic TC to use.

the TC systems very very very good! a 500hp 200sx foot flat round a corner and still wont loose traction! again, obscenely good!
bit of a pain to fit wiring wise (just loads of them!) but its very methodical, they do another much more basic system thats a spark cut system, but the full unit that cuts the injector has many more features

Speaking of RaceLogic... over 100 systems were sold in the group buy I started, many to FD owners, but I haven't yet seen a single how-to thread detailing the install or read a single review.

Traction control primarily, with available options for launch control and full throttle shifting.

I know Spank is using it and I think Andrew Mckee has it also. I know at least one of them likes it.
You'll see them on this page as #1 and #6 at the Solo II nationals this year.

Found one review...

Performance review? Well...
The Racelogic uses a bizarre type of fuel cut, where it cuts injector pulsewidth by more than 50%, basically eliminating the concern that the motor will lean out to detonation by way of reducing fuel so significantly that it hardly combusts, if at all. The full throttle shift option softly reduces the RPM to the preset secondary rev limiter. Traction control issues are a thing of the past with this sucker! I can do slight powerslides, short burnouts, but anything over 20% wheelspin, and the motor cuts and the car squats down and moves! I noticed that when shifting now I no longer hear the BOV 'til I release the throttle after the 1-2-3-4. The car feels faster and more stable, more reliable, ad is defiently more entertaining to drive! Best $850 ever spent. Am I worried about it popping the motor? Nope! Even when I've fucked up and dropped the clutch off first, the tires chirp, the car grunts, and then screams away like it's on M/T Streets!
