Question for guys that use PMS PFS.

I was just wondering if you guys can maybe solve this problem. I use this ecu, actually it's old model gold box, and i have setting for 10, 12 and 14 psi on the switch.

However, when i try to switch from 10 to 12 or 14 or whatever, it always stays on 10.

That vent value feature is on off, so i don't know what else should i do. I'm still runing my stock pills, and i was just wondering, since i have turboXS boost controller on the side, should i connect this and do something with it or Is there something wrong with my ecu?

Can anybody give me their vent numbers for all the psi from 10 to 14?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

How are you doing setting the different boost settings? I had the same problem, but I was setting only one boost setting for all three settings on the switch. You are going to each different table right? (1,2,3?) Doing it in one the saving it then going to the next and saving it rightt?

I gave up with messing around vent value etc.
I am running manual boost controler now.

but may be good to have 3 different boost.

BTW your vent learn menu has to be on.
and also your TPS signal has to see WOT at full throttle.

hope this helps.

you can set the data sets differenet for each part. Low can be 10 psi, medium 12, and high 14. That's how i have it set.

Meddle, Any numbers for vent value would be fine, i just need to see if it's going to change.

I messed around with it and i do get 12 psi but not for long then it goes back to 10 again.

Redrotor, how did you set your manual boost controler? Did you have to disconect that other boost controller or did you just tap into that line with the pill in it?

Thanks

I always see 10psi until 2nd gear. When I hit second gear boost goes to the desired level on the controller. I wondered this same thing, but I figured that was the reason.

also, would you guys have any clue if its ok to run a PFS PMS out of a auto tranny FD in a manual FD. The previous FD I had was auto and when I got rid of it I put the computer in the new manual one. Seems to run fine.

Im not sure if the older gold box is the same as the purple or not. I have never had any pro0blem adjust the boost with my purple box. Do you have vent learn turned off? It is my experience that vent learn screws the whole thing up.

yeah vent learn is off. I don't know what the case might be but for some reason i can't boost past 10psi, i get spikes on primary around 11-12, but not static.

So you have a manual boost controller? Set it for 10psi and then use the PMS switch to switch thru boost settings.

I do have manual boost controller but i didn't hook it up yet. Because when i hook it up, (I only tap into one hose, i didn't disconnect anything else, because i don't know what) i get around 15psi.

So right now it's not connected. I would like to put it in set it on 10 psi and then work on Pms, but i don't know what else am i soppose to disconnect once i tap into the wastegate hose?

Also i drive 94 fd, so i don't know about those pills, i know i saw one in that hose where i'm soppose to tap in, but i heard there is a pill on the turbo and that i'll have to drill it.

Vent learn needs to be on and it will learn the desired levels that are inputted by the programmer. Have it turned off and it will use what ever value it last learned.
