question about solenoid filter

I am a little confused about what filter I have to use to solenoid double throttle control.
In the color vacuum diagram double throttle valve have filter on port c on it and the filter is the same with other.
In the mazda service manual f10 page the port c from this solenoid is going with hose to a filter and this filter have very small hole so the air pass slowly from filter.
What method is correct?

What do you mean that the hose has a very small hole?

Either way, I'm pretty sure you're talking about the double throttle solenoid. The fact that the filter vents more slowly probably makes no difference.
