Proper break-in procedure for FD motor?

I've put 600 miles on my street ported, 3mm apex seal motor, and changed the oil at 450 miles. So far, I've been super gentle, keeping the revs below 4000rpm and staying out of boost. When can I really get on it? 1000 miles? 1500 miles? I'm also pretty eager to put the car on the dyno.

Thanks,

I waited a good 3000 miles before I got on it. I'd say be gentle 'till 3000 miles, change the oil once again, then have fun with the new motor. Better safe than sorry

here's what i was told

500 miles under 4 grand, oil change
1500 miles at higher RPM, but not WOT/redline, oil change,
then i can go WOT and really get on it, i got 600 miles to go

but 2-3000 miles it should be good, don't rush it, the longer the better

Might consider letting the car idle for a while (maybe an hour or so) just so that it's getting engine wear without any load. Just make sure that your fans are on and that it's not too hot out so you don't overheat. Maybe consider getting a floor fan to blow air into the nose (and keep the hood open).
