Hello
I'm new to the forum so excuse any wrongdoings.
I have a '94 RX7 Touring, White with Black Leather, about 95,000 miles. Car is very stock except for a Titanium Magnaflow catback and metal cat; Hawk Brake pads and 245/45/16 tires. The engine was rebuilt by Mazdatrix at about 88,000 miles. I am the original owner; car was purchased at Irvine Mazda and I live within 15 miles. Oil has always been changed at or before 3000 miles. It has always been garaged and except for some miror wear it's in very good condition.
I will post pictures in a few days.
I now have a family and other weekend cars; as a result the RX7 is not driven much and I could use the garage space.
So the question (and I realize that pics are essential here); what is the price range that I might expect to get for this car if I sell it?
Thanks

I'd agree. Miles are high, but color is desirable and it has a rebuild. If the wear TRULY is MINOR, ask $17,500 and take mid to low 16s for it.

Yeah - despite the miles, white '94s are popular and the recent engine helps. Starting off in the high $16k range may help it to sell more quickly and minimize the number of lowballers and tire kickers that you will have to deal with. Condition will have a big effect.

Its a highly deseriable white FD with the most desired window moon roof but the mileage is high. I think you would sell quickly at 13k. 15k seems a bit to much for me since it is rather high mileage. Either way, thats one sweet FD. I've actually been searching on the forums for a touring white FD. This would fits the bill nicely.

I have decided to sell this car; here is a preview of the for sale post:
For Sale: 1994 Mazda RX7 Touring, White with Black Leather interior, with about 91,000 miles.
Car is stock except for: a Titanium Magnaflow catback; Hawk Brake pads and 245/45/16 tires. A car cover is included with the car as well.
The engine was rebuilt by Mazdatrix in Signal Hill, CA at about 84,300 miles; I have the invoice.
I am the original owner; car was purchased at Irvine Mazda and I live within 15 miles; I have the window sticker.
Oil has always been changed at or before 3000 miles. This car has always been garaged and it’s in very good condition.
This car is smog legal; I have the smog results from this February when the car had 90,588 miles.
I am selling because I now have a family and other weekend cars; as a result the RX7 is not driven much and I could use the garage space.
Asking price is $19,900.00 or best offer. I ran a local search and FD3’s are selling between $30K and $13K. This car is very well preserved and bone stock. The color combo of white and black leather interior is also very desirable. I specifically ordered these features from Irvine Mazda and had to wait several weeks for delivery.
I will post pictures of the engine compartment later this weekend.
Please send me a private message if interested.
Thanks
Peter

Peter,
Just so you are prepared the forum is lowballer central so expect people to way underbid you. IMO your best bet is to sell it locally as prices here in Cali seem to be higher for FD's.

Wow, the passenger side interior door handle is not broken! I wish I could say the same about mine....
I bought mine in 2002 in pretty much the same condition as yours for around $17,500, with 67K miles, and I'm in SoCal just to give you somewhat of an idea. The color combination and rebuilt engine might get you a bit of a premium though, don't see too many white ones.
Good luck.

i have a 94 white touring myself. honestly, w/ the milage and being bone stock, its only worth about 13-14k for someone to realistically purchase the car. and that's price for a good condition w/out worn seats and carpet.

That is a really nice looking car. Good luck with your sale. I do think it is a little high since the economy decided to take a dump. Two years ago it would have sold quickly at very close to the price you are asking. I would say you look to get no less than 15k out of it.
The miles are not that high, and the motor has pretty low miles on it. Not to mention this is a ONE OWNER car with all documentation. That is worth $$$ right there.

so how many miles do expect a 15 year old car to have? You do realize that averages to 6333 miles a year. People seem to forget exactly how old these cars are getting.

Im not saying this isn't a nice car. I think its freaking awesome. It may fetch a nice price because of its color alone. I think it will definitely sell at 14 - 16k. GL man and make sure you find her a good home.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. This is a nice car that should be driven and maintained properly. Having owned this car for so long, I am not going to sell it to someone that cannot take care of it. In a way, if the buyer can't pay a fair price how can I expect them to maintain the car - right?
