Preventing Hose Kink

I'm in the process of installing fuel hoses and was wondering if anyone has used small metal coil springs inside hoses to keep them from kinking when making a sharp bend. Would there be any ill effects by doing this? TIA.

I suggest getting some hose that has bends already in it.

Where exactly do you find pre-bent fuel hose to fit a universal application?

Gates makes a uni coil for soft hoses. You can bend any soft hose 90*.

That's the hose I'm trying to prevent from kinking. So it would be ok to use a spring the same I.D. to keep the hose from kinking?

Try the spring in the hose and hold it at the curve you need and blow through it.Is there a restriction?

Appears to be the same flow with or without the spring.
