Question Pre-Mix and Cat......

Does running pre-mix affect the life of the cat?

Anyone have any experience or knowledge about this?

My OMP isn't working properly and I'm getting sick of the stench of running an open exhaust. I'd love to reinstall a cat.

Thanks.

How do you know your OMP is not working Al? Are you not getting voltage in the pfc commander for the omp?

Pre mix shouldn't hurt the cat... oil getting burned is oil getting burned, the cat won't care wether it was mixed with the gas in the tank, or in the combustion chamber.

That said, the PFC basically kills cats... especially high-flos.

Correct. Sensor check shows constant 1.1V rather than the expected voltage range that should follow the TPS pattern.

The PFC kills cats? Can you elaborate on that please? I always thought that overly rich A/F ratios (tuning) kills cats.

Thanks.
