Ppf reinforcement anyone?

So i cracked my ppf the other day and i got super mad because this was the only thing stopping me from finidhing my car! So i went crazy on it yesterday.... Here is what it looks like.

i remember someone, a few years ago, doing something similar to their PPF.

What they essentially did was they welded up where it cracked, and then fitted (in the holes) metal and welded it all up and had it powder coated red.
I cant remember if the made the pieces fit exactly into the holes or if they were slightly oversized, but i do recall his results being equal to or better than the mazdaspeed PPF.

As far as i know, that all the guy did. I cant remember for the life of me if he boxed it as well.

I wish i could remember, but it was at least 3 years ago.

The driveshaft kind of fits into the "well" on the back of the PPF, that rod you added could be an interference problem. Other than that looks great!

There are certainly a few ways of doing this. I think there was a thread about PPF reinforcement active just the other day.
