I agree, other then the FEED hood, only because it looks very stock, and helps create lower pressure in the engine bay, aiding in the extraction of heat....

I'd say the main reason the Feed bumper and RE-A street diffuser has been overdone, is because Shine actually makes an aftermarket body parts that fit worth a damn. Wish he had more variety.

agreed. i think its everyone's first choice when they want to change the front bumper, which is why i got my a-spec one. I have never seen anyone in the US rock one, although they are pretty popular in Japan... along with those ugly mazdaspeed sideskirts...ugh

3. MS A-Spec Front Bumper - Just not into the initial d scene or the front bumper at all, doesn't flow with the car and its impossible to match aero with it.
THIS bumper?

Or the other one that uses the 93-95 turn signals under a large acrylic covers?

4. Any GT wing that is on a non-track car.
Agreeeeeeed.

Here are some of mine:
1) Cars that spend so much on the wheels that the actual running of the car suffers

2) Drilled/slotted rotors on street cars.

3) Vented hoods. I have one, and have it it solely because people scared me so much about overheating before i bought the fd. I like the FEED hood, but i'm not sure it does the job

4) 'flush' headlight kits. I dont' like any of them: ebay or expensive jdm ones...no thanks

5) widebody kits that don't maintain the FD's lines.

5 1/2) any car with a widebody kit that then uses spacers to "fill the widebody".

Exhaust

All of those aftermarket big can exhausts look terrible hanging out the back of the FD. Looks like they have a bad case of hemroids or that diesel pick-up truck look !!

Yes I am. I've always liked it, just picked up the front bumper and fenders going in the body shop soon. The only other aftermarket bumper I've ever liked was the PFS front fascia, but I wanted the updated turn signals so that went out the window.

I'm not picky about looks however, certain mods really bug me.

Performance mods that do more damage than good. "Turbo timer perfect example"!

Unnecessary porting of these engines. "Engine will make 600 rwhp with stock ports yet everyone thinks it needs porting for 400 rwhp LOL!

The braided steel OMP lines are a waste. "OMP system is designed to drip oil in so the apex seal can squeegee the film across the rotor housing. It does not spray in like a fuel injector like most seem to think".

People who assume that blipping the throttle to eliminate the AWS feature is good for the engine and bearings. "Believe what your want cause all your doing is causing excessive carbon deposits when you lower the idle. I know this for a fact. Also your bearings will be fine as I have an original engine with over 108k to prove it"!

Huge laggy turbos for a street car. "No bottom end on a street car makes no since to me"!

Front mounts. "Here you have long laggy piping and blockage of the radiator"!

People who let their rotarys idle to warm up before driving. "That's the worst thing you could do because the combustion chamber never gets hot enough to fully burn the fuel/air mixture. Carbon build-up to the MAX"!

T-von.....I agree with a lot of yours...but~!
600 RWH on stock ports....that just means your around 20+ PSI of boost.. My goal is to create as much power with the least amount of boost possible. Just seem like less stress on the motor itself and all components. Not everyone can afford to go with a big single so it's kinda like an alternative to make more power without upgrading the turbo system ect in some people's options.

Also, i simply got steel braided OMP lines because my stockers were CRISPED to the max...it's not necessarily for any performance gains. Also,

+1, one of my original OMP line had chafed most of the way through and was just dribbling oil on the top of the block. Possibly contributed to my second engine giving up. Stainless ones may not give you any performance gain, but they do give you peace of mind that oil is actually getting where it's meant to be!

I am guilty of letting my car warm up before driving. Now I changed.

Thing I dont like is neon colored parts. Like rims calipers or any anything.

I always let my car warm up before i drive off.

This is getting off topic though. We're now mentioning things we dont like that people do to their cars in action, not with parts lol

Interesting

People who let their rotarys idle to warm up before driving.
"That's the worst thing you could do because the combustion chamber never gets hot enough to fully burn the fuel/air mixture. Carbon build-up to the MAX"!
Damnit! I do rev it tho .... so ok to drive, but just dont boost? my car is like me, I just dont like moving until Im warmed up everything runs allot better...

The braided steel OMP lines are a waste.
"OMP system is designed to drip oil in so the apex seal can squeegee the film across the rotor housing. It does not spray in like a fuel injector like most seem to think".
I always thought the braided lines were only for reliability of the hoses themselves, but had nothing to do with how the oil is applied... simlar to an A/I setup?

People who assume that blipping the throttle to eliminate the AWS feature is good for the engine and bearings.
"Believe what your want cause all your doing is causing excessive carbon deposits when you lower the idle."
Hey, I always let the idle do it's thang... I dont care if pisses the neighbors off early in the morning, lol.

As for likes, this is the look I'm after, tho I prefer:

- no rear wiper
- clear turn signals
- orignal 93 badge on hood, painted black.

i hate the autoexe, mazdaspeed or any aftermarket front lip coz they render your car useless. It collects soil samples from every bump and i cannot get into a carpark without them scrapping.
