Bone stock CYM R1, even use the stock air cleaner.

 

Get a downpipe on there! Your car will run so much better and cooler with no risk of hurting the car.

There's something to be said for dead stock. My last FD was heavily modded. It only ever made it to one track day in the whole time I owned it. The rest of the time it was either not tuned right or there was a cooling/intake drama that I wasn't satisfied with.

My current FD is completely standard apart from track pads. I've owned it for less than 6 months and already has been to the track countless times. It cops an absolute thrashing, never runs hot or lean. I just chuck fuel in it and attempt to kill it. It has 130,000 on it and the inside of the motor and turbos havent seen the light of day since November 1994 in Hiroshima. I think about replacing things not because they need it but because they've had such a good innings.

Meanwhile my stockpile of parts I'm "going to" put on builds up in the cupboard

Seems like the more I do to mine the more little problems I have. Hopefully getting properly tuned will take care of it...

My FD is 50% of my life. I loss sleep at night thinking about my next mod I'm going to do. Lame, I know!

 

Currently all the bolt ons. T78 and raceport will be in the car by next month so I guess I'm very heavily modded...

 

Had FD since early '95 and kept completely stock until last year. Now waiting on a reman to have built and deciding what to do about the turbos.
