PLX wideband stuck at 14.6
I'm not sure if this should be in a different section, please move if it needs to be.
I have a PLX wideband SM-AFR + DM-5 AFR Combo, and this morning when I drove to work the display was stuck on 14.6 the whole trip. And just incase any one is wondering, no my car is not tuned to 14.6 throughout.
I haven't changed anything recently tune-wise. Last week I did install a Bonez Hi-flow cat, but that shouldn't affect it. My wideband sensor is installed just before the downpipe bolts to the cat/mid pipe.
I did put in a support call to the company, but while I'm waiting I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problem, if so what was the fix?
Thanks!

if it's stuck at 14.6 you know it's not your car as it's basically impossible to always be at the same ratio.
What does your display read with the car off? Have you tried changing displays?
huh? did you attempt to call them? Everytime I ever needed them I just simply picked up the phone and got techincal support on the spot.

When the car has power, but is not running it says LEN. (LEAN)
I haven't tried another display, maybe if PLX ships me one for free but I'm not buying another.
I went to their support page: http://www.plxdevices.com/support/index.html didn't see a phone # to call.

Hopefully the sensor isn't bad, that's not a very long life on it.

I'd swear the manual states 6-12 inches... Without doing any research I'd say that you are too close and cooked your sensor.
Edit- I noticed that you have a Bonez DP, how far is the sensor from the bung that is prewelded in?

That shoudn't be too close, that is under the car not up in the engine if I am visualizing correctly... I don't know specifically anything about the plx, but is there a place to do a free air cal in the sofware? I had similar trouble with my innovative after it got a bunch of power cycles due to a loose wire. Was able to take sensor out and re-calibrate and worked fine after that.

Yeah I think Hondasrrkids & Montego are confusing which end of the downpipe I have the plug installed in.
The end that bolts to the cat or mid pipe section, so the end of the downpipe furthest away from the engine....so the sensor is underneath the car, near the transmission. If I went any further back, it would have to be installed on that cat section piping.
So there's no confusion:

That's what mine read when I forgot to plug the harness connector into the back of the unit. The display will show any of the following three:
1.) "air" if the the harness and sensor are connected but not in the exhaust stream.
2.) "normal" wideband readings if everything is hooked up and functioning correctly.
3.) "14.6-14.7" if the harness/sensor are not plugged into unit

About the time I originally started the thread I put the car in the garage for winter. When spring came around it was acting normally, I even had Steve Kan tune my car in the late spring ('11) based off of how the PLX was reading. The PLX seemed to be working fine when I stopped driving the car last year, early fall. I'm in the process of getting my car ready to drive again (hopefully tomorrow) so I'm unsure if it is still a problem or not.
