Please help: Need dash and wiring harness removal tips
I did a search on the topic, but I could use a little more guidance. I'm trying to pull the dash in order to remove the body wiring harness. I don't think my hands are small enough to pull the harness without removing the dash. So please help me here....
I have the side pieces of the dash removed that hold the vent that goes to the doors. I have also pulled the guage cluster out of the car and the small floorboard covers that are held in by those push pin tabs. Question of the day: How do I pull the center part(radio,AC Controls, etc) out of the dash along with the rest of the dash?
Thanks guys. Won't be too much longer till I get the beast on the road.

If you are pulling out the main engine harness, you don't have to pull the dash to do so. Just unplug the connections at the ECU and then from the engine bay pull on it. It will come out with persistence.

Mr. Stock -
I wish it was that easy. The engine harness is already out, but the body harness melted in a fire. Therefore, I'm trying to pull the part of it behind the firewall to replace with the new(used) one.
If you guys have any tips, I would really appreciate it. TIA

You'll actually need to pull the dash AND all the HVAC stuff on the firewall to get the harness out and reinstalled.
To do the harness IIRC it would be a good idea to take the fenders off too.
I think I've written some instructions on removing the dash. It isn't that hard, couple bolts on either end, couple more on either side of the tunnel, lower steering column, undo airbag and ignition switch wiring, remove shifter, center console, unbolt e-brake from the tunnel. Pull the dash a few inches back and you'll see the 3-4 big connectors are all that needs to be disconnected.
The dash comes out with the instrument cluster, heater, stereo, glovebox, etc.
