Please help, car not starting

So I finnaly got my engine in the car and everything together ready to start it up, so I put the key in and i get nothing.. I think somethings not hooked up right anyone know where I should start? Oh just some backround I bought the car with no engine in it and I bought one and put it in, and I dont know what the guy before me has done.

Check the connector for your coil packs to make sure it is plugged in.

I have another question. Im not sure where one of wires goes its a little pig tail with a terminal lug that comes off the fuse box on the positive cable. Anyone know where this goes?

no its not doing anything the only thing that i know of that works is my rear defroster its the only light thatll come on. I have no headlights or brake lights eather.

You can find manuals through the stickies & FAQ.

Because this is a fresh install, I'm betting on a wiring issue. The pigtail you asked about might be the master supply to the fuse box that mounts just in front of the shock tower. That definitely needs power for the car to run.

just for fun

I just wanted to let you all know that youve been a big help in me getting my car running. and today I finnaly got to start it up and it started good (easyest thing so far), but then I noticed some smoke it was comming from the air pump so Im guessing thats bad, but the worse part is the radiator is busted. It was leaking everywhere so now I have to get that fix before I can drive but Im almost there, thanks again guys.

that wire went to the fuse block by the strut tower and everything worked just fine lol
