The same goes for everyone's opinion
Does the car appeal to me? No not so much.
But I can still give out congratulations because his car is in a magazine.
I wonder how many Honda's and Nissan's they had to get through to find this FD tho..........

One of my friends Dad's owns the blue Widebody Supra that appears on this month's cover. He called me the day the magazine came out to read me some of the quotes the magazine used in the article. Absolute and utter BS that his dad would NEVER say, just to pimp to readers. If you have any writing skill at all, it's definitely in your best interest to DRAFT an article yourself and send it to prospective mags along with some professional photos.

345hp is certainly possible. He said it was street ported with larger injectors and non-sequential.
Mine made 321rwhp at 15.5psi on stock fuel system, 3inch mp/dp/ and stock catback along with stock ports.

345 is possible. 402 is not..To the wheels that is. On that set-up. Looks good w/out the stickers though.

Recently, I had a photographer who took pictures of my car and submitted to a magazine...
They wanted a list of my mods and few days later, they wanted to know what kind of HP I made.. I told them, "honestly, I never took it to the dyno.. I don't really care what this car makes.. My guess is that @ current state, its making upper 200s, maybe low low 300." Its been over 2weeks and I haven't heard back. Maybe because I didn't lie about my HP.... I guess I should of told them I made 450 HP
Bottomline, not many people know what its like to drive 450 RWHP car.. High number doesn't always mean one car is better than another. I've played around with FD's for past 10 years and to have a good time with your FD doesn't mean you need insane power. You yourself as a driver needs to improve to drive high HP cars... But of course, by me saying that, i'm also trying to build 600+ HP 3 rotor FD... but I know, that I need to be a better driver and that the car will just sit in my garage, look pretty, and most kids will awe by its uselessness.

Is there really any reason for anyone here to knock Tony's car? I thought we were a better group of enthusiasts than that? We are all FD owners or enthusiasts. We should all be happy that another FD is in a magazine despite these cars being so damned old.
You know, objectively, it makes me wonder if people aren't jealous, because they have cars with more horsepower or silly body kits or spent more money or whatever. Are there any rules that say a magazine should only cover the such and such cars? Is there any definition of what should be covered? I think a beautiful, bone stock, but immaculate FD deserves to be in a magazine.
I am a bit disappointed and apologize on behalf of the old school guys here. I think its great when any FD gets into a magazine and find good things about nearly all of the ones I've seen, whether they are something I would like for myself or not. Tony, you have every reason to be proud and happy to see your baby in print. Get a fresh copy framed and put it on your wall!

I've seen this car in person and the work that his been put into this car is amazing. All the parts are top of the line no expense spared in what was purchased and everything fits nice.
Tony"s car was actually one of the cars pulled to park in the court yard at Sevenstock XI as well. So based on what everyone here who has never seen the car up close has to say about it, i guess the Sevenstock guys have no taste either, oh **** they picked my car too mine must be a piece of crap not worthy also.
I don't understand why everyone is so worried about what someone else did to their own car, why bother posting just to knock what someone else did. As far as the horse power figures go if you actually read the article it stats the correct hp/tq and farther down it shows 500ps, this is the bumbling idiot at super street that screwed that up not Tony.
This car was featured by Mazdaspeed also with an INGs body kit, maybe we should give Mazda a hard time too for featuring the car.
Congrats on the feature Tony and still love the car!

Thanks to everyone who is actually supportive... those guys out there who have a magazine worthy car should contact me and I will try my best to spread the love.
And to answer some of the questions out there...
Am in the industry? YES! and Do I know alot of people? YES!
But my car was picked by Import Tuner as Top 20 Cars in LA at a HIN show (Random), Mazda USA Featured my car (Random), I was picked by them to park in the courtyard (Random).
Super Street Found my car because I actually drive it everyday... If it was in a Garage then I probably wouldnt get the chance. Actually I was going to my Optometrist when the Editor followed me in and said..."You actually drive that thing everyday?" Thats when he wanted to shoot my car.
Sometimes its just luck..... Sometimes you just have to be humble about your car and if I was an editor of a magazine and I see you bashing on someone elses car... I would rather not give you the time of day.. Just my 2cents

Congrats on the feature man. Car looks good to me, there are far worse cars that I have seen pictures of on this site that could have been the featured car. I stopped reading that mag a long time ago, once I knew what I was really reading about. They have always messed up numbers, or mods, or everything else they can mess up.
Anyways, Congrats again.
