Car looks ****!! The rims look great!! So when are you going to leave it with me again so I can "test" out the handling.
Ya'll need to be careful though. You're gonna give Rich an even bigger head. (I'll have to think up some way to deflate it later)

I just put some FM-5's on my VR R1, well I don't have the fronts yet but the rears look absolutely amazing.

I'm going with 255/40/17s up front on 17x9" wheels though.

Your car looks great!

I thought your stock paint was in great shape. What happened? The strong Texas sunlight faded it?

I was thinking of selling my Fikses but after looking at the pics of your car, I think I am going to keep them.

You should post a view of the rear with those 17x10's.

Looks schweet dude!

Fikse=

I have to agree with Bill B also. My choice woulda been the FM/10's. But 5's are definitely no less fine.

Beautiful job Rich, that looks great. Brooks' car was simpler with the "no spoilers" look but personally I like Rich's better. (which is why my car looks almost identical in silver but with different non-polished wheels & a RE diffuser) Rich's FD is also similar to Brooks' old car as it was up to the limit on the stock twins, with Rich making a little more RWHP with I'd guess better a/f #'s due to the tuning and injectors. Again, really nice job Rich.

p.s. Next on the list for this car should be the matching brake ducts for the 99 spoiler - I got mine from Corksport for $90 and it cleans the look up nicely and is functional as well.

Hey guys,

thanks for all the kind words....I'm blushing over here

Actually, I haven't really pushed the car much yet with the new setup...don't want to damage my blingalicious rollers . With the tanabe coilovers the car handled like it was on rails on the stock rims and s02s. I'm planning on running the stockers for roadrace and autox, while running the Fikses on the street.

take it easy--
Rich

Ah, Manute, my arch nemesis...you and I shall duel with great vigor on the track at MSR, with yours truly emerging victorious over the hated vertically augmented fiend.

On a serious note, I fixed my problem with excessive coolant temps, so I can run more than 10 psi this time around.

looking forward to it man--

Me too . I found an amazing deal on the FM5s and couldn't really be picky. They look much better on the car then I thought they would, so I'm pretty damn happy with them.

The wind blew up my hood while I had her cooling off in between sessions at Motorsports Ranch.

Actually, when I saw the rear pair on ebay, I thought of your car and clicked 'Buy it Now'

I have 265s on the rears b/c that's the widest the s03s come in 17s, so it doesn't look all that wide, but I'm working on getting some digital pics...
