The problem with the car not wanting to start after you have driven it for awhile mite be the fuel system needs to be cleaned out and a new fuel pump. I had the same problem with my car the frist day that I had it. The nice things was that the dealership that I got it from payed for it even though the car had no warranty.

I hope that you like your new toy and enjoy. I love mine

Why dont you give it a tune up first then see how it goes, also with the windows not rolling up fast just spray some heavy duty silicone over the outer and inner side of the glass then wipe down the access. Roll up and down a few times while its soaked then wipe down. Where are you located at the moment?

When you say the car's been hit, what exactly do you mean? Does it have a salvage title? You should get a carfax report if you haven't already, there is a section of these forums 'VIN check" or something like that, people will usually look it up for you.

If it's got a salvage title, I wouldn't touch it. If it's got frame damage at all, I would give it back. I would prefer a car with a bad motor over a car with an imperfect chassis, as straightening frames is more difficult than replacing motors.

LOL where do you think I found it? Here are some crappy pics, as my camera phone sucks and my real camera is up in Boston, these will have to do until I get back...

Rear

Money Shot

and heres what I'm tlaking about, the hatch doesnt sit right, the left side has a margin-pic 1. The right side has almost no margin-pic2. And the top has a big margin-pic3. And the passenger side door has a small margin in one spot, I'm not sure if you can see it...

It has been hit, front left side from what we can tell, the car is not a salvage. And as for the frame being bent, were having a hard time trying to tell for sure.

It's funny everyone keeps telling me how much this will cost me in the long run, and i appreciate it from experienced users like yourselves. I actually forgot to tell you what a hassle my 2001 GTI was, I loved that car to death, but spent a good 10k in keeping it up, damn German car parts. It was a VR6 so the engine bay was ridiculously cramped and even trying to change a headlight lamp mean soaping up your hand and sliding it in from the side.

And I know the car is super rice right now, but If I keep the car all that stuff comes off.

My god that wing is the most hideous thing that's ever graced god's green earth, do what ever it takes to remove it as soon as possible. I would have given the dealership less money just because it's got that monstrosity on it.

You should take it back the repairs could hurt you and will probably run the same as buying a good working fd.
