Pettit Racing 99 spec and GT fiberglass noses
Anybody with any experience with these care to share your thoughts? I'm getting ready to repaint my car, and am considering a new nose for better cooling. If I decide to go with a new nose, I'm looking at the OEM 99 spec nose from Mazda Comp, or the Pettit pieces.

From what I hear, the rotary extreme bumper is better because it looks the same as the pettit (which is the same as the OEM Mazda without the ugly plate holder) but it's polyurethane which is flexible and durable just like the OEM front bumper. The pettit, however is fiberglass, which is more prone to cracking, chipping, etc.

I have the Pettit 99 nose on my car. I've had it for over 3 years. Back in the day it was either the OEM 99 nose with the plate holder or the Pettit without.
The Pettit nose comes with the top section molded in (the OEM nose has these pieces separate & are pop riveted in).
As far as the benifit of the OEM material being flexible over rigid fiberglass...............
It would be more of an issue to me if it was a spoiler lip that hits stuff.
Either nose is going to show a mark if you run into something.
Fit & finish on the Pettit are nice. No regrets.

i have the pettit GTC and although my car is at the bodyshop still, they told me it fit on easy with no issues. originally, i bought another GTC from another company and the bodyshop couldn't install it. so from my limited experience it seems like pettit pieces are quality.
