Petit cool charge III vs M2 large

I am getting an intercooler at the end of this week and am trying to decide between the two.

Which one offers more cooling and less pressure drop? Or are they both essentially the same.

Also...I know this is a newbie question but whatever. How will my fuel be compromised due to the installation of the larger IC (going from the stock IC)?

Will I have to adjust the maps on my Power FC? Or just drop it in and hope it doesn't knock.

well i dropped mine in with no ill effects...but...some tuning will help. As far as fuel goes...i would have to know your other mods. If you try to run more then 12psi you will need more fuel.

Doesn't really matter.

This weekend I race a friend on the freeway twice from 60-110 and from ~40-110mph. Same exact mods with the except of IC and intake. I'm running a M2 med IC with CF intake, he is running a PFS IC and intake. We were within a couple feet of each other.

Of course we are running 10-11psi boost. Crank it up higher and the differences might start to show themselves.

Apparently, the cores are pretty much (if not exactly) the same. The rumor is that the Pettit is an unauthorized copy of the ASP(M2) core.

yep...efficiency at higher boost is what a larger ic offers. My experience anyways.

Pettit also uses the same exact fiberglass duct that M2 shippes out with their kit they just charge 500 buck more...

Yeah, I learned the hard way...at least I got a nice overall discount from Pettit since I've ordered so much crap from them.

Thanks guys, I'll try to decide depending on whether someone has either in stock.
