painting the center caps on stock wheels....
Was musing on this recently......wondering how it would look to paint the center caps on the stock wheels, in my case I would paint them the same color yellow as what the calipers are painted. And I even was thinking about painting the grills in the oil cooler exits behind the front wheels to match.........
Would it be too......much? Or would it compliment?
My stock wheels have the centers with the paint gone/stripped off, they are black...it sort of sets the wheels off......
Hmmm, maybe I could just photoshop the color in and see....., 'cept all I have is Paint Shop Pro.....

My R1 is black, I painted mine bright red, why you ask. Because I drive a Japanese car in dayly combat for road superiority against the American and European onslaught. After all the Mitsubishi Type 0 airplane (ZERO) was built in the same city many years prior. I am keeping the tradition by flying the same war colors and symbol. Jap cars rule!
OK I got a little carried away here, HA HA!!

Don't paint the grills yellow. I think that would be borderline RICE. IMO

Here is my poor-*** photoshopping of yellow mesh. BTW: When people say photoshopping, they just mean changing something, not specifically using Adobe Photoshop, PSP will work jsut fine.

Please DO NOT paint anything else yellow unless you pln to paint the whole car CYM! By painting the grill and other parts yellow you put yourself in the same category as the rice boy that puts vinyl stickers on his car because he think it will make his car faster. You have a 3rd Gen RX7 which is beautiful in it's stock form. If you choose to modify it just try to do it tastefully. In my opinion, for calipers, silver always matches the rims and red (what I have) is great not only if you have VR paint but it looks like Porche's high performance calipers. Yellow just does'nt match, especially in the vent grills or center caps. Yellow is alright for the caliper but not anything else. JMO

SO are you tryin to look like you have porsches high performance calipers, with out actually getting high performance calipers... That would also be classified as ricer in the terms that you present in your post....

You can compare a RX7 to a porsche when it comes to performance. A Dodge Neon or Civic is nowhere close. Yellow is cheesy and is a color over used by ricers not to mention it doesnt match. Would you go out to a club with a brown belt and black shoes? You can do your car up classy or like a ricer. Have a sense of style if your going for looks.
