in and out of limp mode???
ok ,so my 93 5 speed rx7 with an automatic j-spec motor and 94 engine(emissions)harness was put together runnig sequential and obviously im gonna get a few CEL error codes(4 codes-AWS,relief 2 ,fuel thermo,EGR) and only 1 popped up in the beginning and it was the fuel thermosensor only(weird) and it was boosting great with both turbos running sequential properly. but then one day getting off the freeway off ramp, i experienced what i thought was limp mode,my car would not even boost . it would afterfire from the exhaust and i could not put it in medium or high load what so ever. i could only drive it in vacuum and also the other three error codes finally appeared (weird).i know i dont have a boost leak for sure. i made sure everything was connected properly and also ended up fixing my fuel thermosensor error code which many people on the forums say may put u in limp mode. it was not the cause but at least its fixed(by removing the br/y wire from the blue connector on the emmisions harness and tap in to the body harness to finally connect to ecu pin # 1u ).so now i have AWS,relief 2,EGR, which i think would not cause me to have an issue. what can it be?... so my next step was to eliminate everything and go full simplification and full non sequential going step by step .now all that is being used is my wastegate, map sensor,TPS,KNOCK,ISC, ABV,and stock ecu.my cel error codes are still aws,relief2,egr, and once in a while, map sensor error code would pop up while driving the car.that is strange because i tested the map sensor properly and it is fine .but the craziest thing is my car drives even worst sometimes. it officially goes into limp mode now with the check engine light illuminated.the car goes to ten inches of mercury and then the engine rpm drops really slowly (loss of power) pretty much wanting to shut off.it does this and then goes away back to my first issue.it will switch off every minute.but when im able to drive it in vacuum ,u can get around 5-7psi of boost above 4500 rpm only if u give it a light load up to 4500 rpm(strange). the only thing im concluding to right now is that my 94 engine emissions harness needs some repair because im almost sure the person who had that harness before me had modified it a little for a jspec motor.(because it has no electrical connection for egr,relief2 ,aws...)thats weird....huh????but it worked before.....
can anyone please give me some useful information on this crazy fd issue.....

ok ,so now i removed and re-installed my engine harness and my car does not go into limp mode anymore, but, it still goes back to my first boost issue.it was recommended that i get an original 93 engine harness ,but they are not easy to find in a good used condition.also, they dont even make new 93 engine harnesses anymore...but now it leads me to my alterations that were made to the harness.i will go through it and keep updates on this boost isssue........

You can use a 94/95 emissions harness. It will work on your 93. The only difference will be on the ECU side where the 93's had a jumper harness for the cooling recall which is not needed with a 94/95 harness.

oh so i read up on some threads with similar symptoms and most of them have concluded that it was their secondary fuel injectors failing .im going to troubleshoot my secondary injectors and see if thats the cause of my boost issue .
