Optima battery size
ive searched and found that two type of optima batteries fit the stock location on a fd?
ive seen peole post 51r and 35r
knowing that i need the reversed terminals, i just need to know what size i need to get for a direct drop in the stock location.
i got this good for nothing leaking interstate battery
need to change it asap!

I have a 51R in my car. It's a little narrower than stock. Try this:

Get a yellow top with turbojeff's battery tray. A great mod imo. I think you can run the smic m2 medium with this mod and an aftermarket intake. Not too sure though. 51r is narrower than stock. It probaby would slide around unless you have some sort of tiedown for it.

I have a yellowtop, fits good w/ aftermarket intake and intercooler. The part # for it is D34. They also have a red top that is a little cheaper, don't remember what the part # is. As far as I know those are the only two full size batteries that fit w/ reverse posts.
