i have a 3" dp and the dual tip racing beat catback currently, i am getting rid of my air pump/cat and replacing it with a 2nd muffler because im not satisfied with the sound yet...just wondering if anyone had any advice on what to use.

 

Get a RX-7 Store resonated mid pipe. Get a boost controller and port your waste gate to prevent boost spikes.

 

Racing Beat also sells a 3" resonator with stainless steel shavings as packing material so it won't burn out. It's pretty inexpensive too.

i dont want a resonated midpipe, i want to add a second muffler in the hopes of making it sound better

 

It's not gonna sound better with another muffler, its just gonna be quieter and be a restriction.

I built one using a 3" race magnum, google it.

 

A resonated midpipe is just a midpipe with a muffler already welded into it. RX7Store uses Magnaflow mufflers. Borla XR1 is a very popular muffler but it's also very expensive. Are you trying to keep the stock main catalytic converter and added in an extra muffler?

 

Have an rx7store resonated mid pipe for sale if you decide to go that way. Gives car a quieter deeper tone. I really liked the tone sounded less like an import.
