The 66-4D0 is the switch that keeps you from starting the engine without pushing the clutch down. The other one is the one used by cruise control, the idle system, etc.

ok so it sounds like Bad Karma is right... if 66-4D0 is the switch that keeps you from starting the engine....

66-4D0 = Clutch Interlock
18-66OB = Clutch Switch

Correct?

You got it. If you want, just do like I've done on countless FC's - bypass the interlock switch. Just jumper the connector and you're good to go. It's actually pretty handy if you're working on the car, since you can just lean in the window and start the car without getting in the car. Of course, you'll always have to check if the car is in gear or not.

Here's a picture of the clutch pedal area. The red jumper wire was being used to temporarily bypass the starter-interlock switch.

It looks like your clutch switch on the left is missing the rubber plunger, but I don't think that is the interlock switch that keeps your car from starting.

Yep, you are missing the rubber bumper for the switch on the left. That is the one that will prevent starting the car.

Get some stick-on rubber chair feet from the hardware store, that will fix it.

Try Nissan Part # 46584S0100. It works for the Brake Light switch and the clutch switch. Perfect fitment!

Thx for the tip. Chair foot pad worked great as a temporary solution. Now on the hunt for a more permanent solution...
