You think this looks cheap???
If it had the chrome I would be sold.
It doesn't look any cheaper then the Autometer, VDO, Apex'i, some of the Defi, etc...

Some of these gauges offer playback, peak hold and warning features as well.

The Defi gauge in the rx7 store seems to be a closer match.

Amber background, red needle, and chroome bezzle for only $115.

Yeah but the numbers go in 1.25 increments.
Makes it a lil hard to read.

Have you seen them in person? I have seen the gauges and the sensors for them. They LOOK LIKE CRAP. They may light up the same as the stock gauges, but they won't be worth a **** if they read wrong.

My suggestion is if you want them, then get them. But shopping for gauges in Japan, I can look at all the different types and compare them face to face. The Omori gauges looked good in the ad, but once I got my jspecracer7 hands on them, I would NEVER buy them.

Just my 2 yen.

Why would I want an electrical gauge over a mechanical or vice versa.

Anyone know how to get the boost gauge that comes stock in the 99 RX7

With an electrical gauge, you only run a thin wire into the cabin, not vacuum tubing. You can see an electrical gauge would be much more beneficial for things like water/oil temp or fuel pressure!
