Thumbs up Omori gauges that will exactly match oem

i was looking for the closest gauges, more specifically a 52mm boost gauge in psi, to match our stock instruments so i sent a letter to omori

here's a quote from a letter from omori

Thank you for your inquiry.

Currently we are working with an RX-7 tuner/specialist to produce a run of custom gauges as you described. The fonts on the faces will even be modified to look more like the OEM RX-7 gauges, and we will even offer
optional chrome bezels. All pricing can be found on our web site and we do not expect any increases in cost for this custom run. Please bear with us as we are a new company in the US that is just getting established, so
availability will be limited for the first few months until we are in full swing.

Thank you!

Regards,
Greg

Hey Qball, I emailed Greg about 3 weeks ago, but he didn't mention the RX-7 tuner deal. Must be a new development. I hadn't posted anything yet about it but it definitely sounds cool. I hope they're designing it the way I was thinking.

Boost gauge: change range to -20in to 20 psi, instead of -30 to 25, should be more legible and accurate.

The Omori gauges definitely look like a good deal, I especially like their 3-gauge single din mount.

I have an Omori boost gauge 52mm with a green backing. I really like it. I actually like it better than my old Greddy. It is very accurate .

That sounds cool... I wonder about the price and if they can make them white faced. They have some crazy gauges.. like a Turbine RPM.

that turbine one is pretty interesting.. i'd be curious to see what rpm my turbine's are spinning at and to see the boost readings.. i'd probably have a hard time keeping my eyes on the road it would be so cool

Omori also has red needles that they can install on the gauges. I looked at them a while back, and yes, they CAN look exactly like our stock gauges.

You know what they should do while they're at it? They should come up with a new a/f gauge. A lot of people seem to have this gauge, and they all seem to be a circle of lights that light up and don't match the stock instruments (or even any aftermarket ones) at all.

Someone should sell one of these gauges with a needle. I know you can't really have a continuous sweep because of how the a/f sensor works and everything, but hell, rather that have a gauge with 10 different lights that light up, I'd rather have one that has a needle that only stops at 10 different positions. At least it would match everything else, and it can't be that hard to do.

Just an idea...

Jeremy

Edit: Can't spell.

Talking Haven't seen RX-7 specific yet

They will custom make them to match but they want a min of 30 ea purchased...hmmm, group buy? (was 50ea)

They are the only company that has USA (PSI & F) in 52mm. You can choose backlighting on Metric versions but US it's custom order only.

Since I installed NR Auto guages, I want white backround and orange backlight.

Maybe we can talk rx7store.net or ARDT2 in to organizing a group buy or carrying them regularly?

I think... not sure. That there is a digital A/F gauge that has the same OR similiar readout as the odometer.

Anyone?

The Guages at PFS

I have the isspro guages done by ferrell (water temp and boost) the boost guage is red color like the stock guages and the water temp is a the orange color. I can't tell you how many people have asked or commented about the gauges being stock.

Do they still make or sell them. Whats the deal with the two different colors? Is the Bezel in chrome as well???
Please post pics if you have them.

I don't like the Omori gauges at all. They look cheap in design...especially when you see them in person.
