Oil Metering Nozzle

The small fire I had this past Friday damaged the wiring harness and the OMP lines.
The only indication of where the fuel leak occurred was the vac hose on the front OM nozzle. The bottom of the hose was swollen from contact with fuel and smelled of gas. I just got the shielded OMP lines from Gotham. I took the OM nozzles out tonight. The nozzle in question failed the blow/suck test shown in the manual. Air passed freely in both directions. If this nozzle was bad before the fire occurred, could gas have come from the engine through the nozzle? Or is it likely the nozzle was damaged from the fuel leak or the fire? The rear nozzle also allows a little air thru in the wrong direction, but not much. These nozzles came with the reman I installed one year ago. I still have the ones from the old engine and air flows through them in one direction only.

The omp nozzles are placed in a position in the combustion sequence where the fuel is not injected until after the apex seal has passed the point of the OMP nozzle. So there is no way that raw fuel would be passed back out through the nozzle itself. I would conclude that the nozzle became damaged in the fire.
