Oil filler neck leak/overflow & turkeybaster
The veteran crew might remember this mod from the late '90's, but I couldn't find the 'how-to' when I searched. It just uses a turkey baster to fit inside your filler neck which won't allow oil to climb up the neck to be sucked back into the intake. An oil catch can, rigged properly, would work as well but this mod is Zero Maintenence. I bumped into N-Tech Engineering at the track and we discussed this old forgotten mod as I spilled my full catch can.

*Williams-Sonoma Stainless Steel Turkey baster. I bought two, incase I messed up. So, one for sale $25 shipped.
*3/4" Round sanding hub
*Chop Saw
*Razor
Start by cutting 2.25" off the bulb end of the baster shaft. Don't cut the tapered end, this is the good side. Next, cut the silicone bulb just where it starts to flair when coming off the tube. You now have a straight and tapered pipe with a thick silicone gasket.
Next, push the gasket into the filler neck until it rests just below the PCV inlet.

Finally, push the tube, tapered end down, through the gasket and down the filler neck.![](https://www.rx7club.com/attachments/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/263995d1193419063-oil-filler-neck-leak-overflow-turkeybaster-tools-needed2.jpg)
I am not sure what the inside of those steel caps look like, but the baster won't fit inside of the factory plastic oil cap. There are (4) vertical plastic runners that give the thin thread wall strength. Use the sanding hub to bore the hole bigger. You will NOT have to sand off the entire length of any runner. Now pick a PCV source. Either suction from the turbo elbow OR a PCV valve hooked to the manifold. I picked the turbo and blocked off the manifold line.
In the end, repeated high speed right hand turns that send the oil creeping up the filler neck will not be able to climb the wall of the neck nor fill the tapered tube.
