Normal operating Figures for FD3S????

Hey guys...

This may belong in the ECU section of the forum
but there is no traffic and responses are slow
to come by.. NOt only that this is 3rd gen
specific and can be advantageous for all.

I bought and installed a Apex PFC w/commander
yesterday. I love it and the monitoring is great also.
BUT EVERYTHING is in METRIC system...
Which leads to some of my questions:

Water Temperture?
- What is the normal (low, high) operating temp in Celcius??? and what TEMP (high) do I need to start being concerned of over heating????(in celcius)

Knock Sensor?
- When/whatlevel of the Knock sensor reading
should I start being concerned?? I am not sure
but the metering is from 1-100.. any insight on this?

Injector Duty?
- I think but not sure.. That Injector duty cycle over 90% is bad?? is this right?? What is teh safe upper limits of INjector duty %?

Boost??
- I always read boost in PSI. PFC do it by : kg/cm^2
can some one tell me how to read/translate the #'s into PSI?

Ignitionleading/trailing
-- Anything I should know about this Figures?? What makes these Numbers relevant??

last question: but PFC specific..
- In setting mode to change PIM VOlt.
1 normal
2 optional1 and etc..

Do you select different options for different boost levels you want?
So normal would be boost level of base map, that was programmed.. and say Option 1,2,3,4,5, would
be diff boost y ou may want to set?

And if you did that that I guess you should change
basic fuel injection correction with the PIM volt..???

Thanks.. Hope you understand..

Most of these can be answered by just checking a online conversion site. I will give some insite though.

Water temp:
The 80s are about normal operating tempature. 90s are mid, probably traffic. 100 high temps, try to let the car cool. 110, ouch.

Knock:
This is very so so. Even the manual says this is not to really go by. I have heard anything above 40-50 is kinda odd... most people think that above is a symptom of a knock sensor that needs to be torqued. Some days I will see mine jump to up 100, car runs great.

INJ Duty:
80% is high safe levels, 90% and up is when the injectors go out of control.

Boost:
.70 is 10 PSI, .98 is 14 PSI

Ignition:
These numbers are relevant to the timing of both your leading and trailing plugs. You might use them more when you get into heavy tuning.

PIM Voltage:
Leave on NORMAL!! it will make your car run like crap on the options. Fools the MAP sensor to think you are always running more boost. Thus advances the timing and richens the mixture, will cause high RPM breakup like no other.

If you want to change the boost levels look in the "Boost" settings. There are two settings, 1 and 2. I use 1 for daily driving, 2 for track days. Each setting has primary and secondary controls. On each line, the first number is for when fuel cut occurs, second is for how much solenoid duty control.
