noob question.. "What does FD mean?"
Hi....
I just got interested in Rx-7, I currently owns MAzda6, I might sell it at $17000 and then I'm trying to purchase Rx-7 and second car(may be corolla at $3000), I'm not going to plan for the rx-7 to be super racing but I want to have about
350 whp and firm ride... and clean look. Do you think it is hard to find rx-7 with $13000? with some mod on it?
Oh ... and i forgot the main point... what does FD? means?

FD is the chassis number for the 3rd gen rx7 (93-95 US) (92-02 Japan)
you wont find a good condition FD for under 17k... i belive me you cant slack off even a little when it comes to the condition of the FD ur looking at to buy... these cars are very, lets say.. sensative.
to reach your goal of 350rwhp (which isnt to easy)... its gna cost your (estimate) 22k..... about 18k for the FD and 4k for mods
im sure other responces are on the way.....

i wouldn't describe an FD as "sensative"... it'd say "tempermental bitch" is a bit more accurate. i got my FD for $7000, but i've already put close to $2k into her and i've barely gotten started. i do my own wrenching, so it saves me a lot of money, otherwise the $2k would be more than $3k. 350 whp isn't going to be too difficult, it'll cost a bit of money though.
read the FAQ's and you'll learn a lot about what to expect. there's even a section for "buying an FD"...
