Noob question: OK, where exactly does this go to?
I'm thinking it's an exhaust and not a turbo related hose?
It has a rubber hose leading to the stock airbox. Can I leave it like this (not my car btw) or should I re-route with filtered air?

Thank you! I thought it had something to do with the UIM as it goes underneath, but I guess it hooks back up with the air pump?
I'm removing the airpump so I can eventually remove that as well...

If you ditched the airpump, it's totally useless - you can cap it if you wish, but it's a dead pipe without the airpump.
If you do have the airpump, you can use my super-cool Anti-Moo device -
