Non sequential: Pre control actuator contolled by primary turbo?
I just bought a 3rd Gen that has a non sequential setup. I noticed that the precontrol actuator was being controlled via the output of the primary turbo. I think this is contributing to additional lag. I guess there may be an advantage that the turbos didn't require modification and would only require a different exhaust manifold with the Turbo Control Flap not welded to go back to sequential. Any opinions on this setup would be appreciated. Advantages/Disadvantages?

In a full non-seq setup, the pre-control solenoid is removed and it's flapper/gate is welded opend.
This helps to equalize exhaust pressure in the manifold.

Can you come up with any advantage to having it controlled from the primary turbo?
What difference do you think I'll see if I weld it or wire it open?
Thanks,
Mark
