no start, with a weird twist
In the last two months I've replaced the motor, turbos, and engine wiring harness. I drove it approximately 5k miles troublefree. Then, it died. The fuel pump is not coming on. The relay is good. The only other symptom is that every once in a while the alarm goes off for apparently no reason. If I use a jumper wire at the relay the car runs fine. any suggestions?
is it likely the computer, or the alarm?

you mean if you jump over the fuel pump relay? if you get it running and then remove the jumper wire, which skips over the relay, does it keep running? i'd think not right?
also, how are you sure the relay is good? are you getting current out of the connector going to the relay coil?

thanks for the replies. if I remove the fuel pump relay and jump across the car runs fine. with the relay in, the car cranks, but the fuel pump is not getting power, so it never fires. if anyone's had the same trouble, let me know what other things are in the electrical circuit between the ignition switch and the relay which would keep the fuel pump relay from getting the signal to prime.
