New to the board! Have a quick question.
hey everyone, I'm new here, and thought I'd say hi to everyone.
I currently am looking for a well kept low mile 3rd gen RX-7. I won't something in good condition that I can mod. Me being kinda new to the RX-7 world and not knowing about many mods available, how difficult would it be to get one to put 300hp to the ground? Ok lets say 250 for me being that I'm in Colorado where cars don't make the same amount of power as down at sea level. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Not hard at all. You're looking to add about another 50hp or so. Pettit Racing has a base kit that will get you started:

While these performance "packages" will most definitely get you more horsepower, probably over the 300 mark, I wouldnt recommend that path. The reason is because these packages simply give you the basic bolt ons like DP, intake, ECU, etc. They pay no attention to the fuel system and delivery. If you want to keep your rotary healthy, give it the fuel it needs. Once you've got the basic bolt-ons, you will start to lean out badly, eventually killing your motor from detonation. Also, I would recommend getting gauges early on. Boost, fuel pressure and oil/water temp are a must.
