need some advice on engine

I'm in the process of doing an oil pan gasket on my 93,
while looking under the car to see if there are any heat damage to the rotor housing. I notice some spots on the housing that indicate that there has been some over heating. Can someone tell me if they think this is bad and if I will be doing a rebuilt soon. I also notice that the chain is also very loose. Please give me some advice on what needs to be done since the motor is almost out of the car. Here are the pics.

I don't see any hot spots on the rotor housings, if you did see hot spots on this side of the rotor housing the car wouldn't run.

The chain doesn't look too loose to me.

Put her back together and let it run.

your motor looks pretty good to me man...looks clean. It gets super hot in there naturally without overheating. Close her up and worry about a rebuild when the time comes....check your compression if you want to feel a little better.
