need motivation to fix my car

I have been procrastinating fixing my car. I was planning on doing the vacum hoses and a downpipe but since my car has been running like crap it has been discouraging me. It seems like when I just start to get happy with it something else breaks. I am thinking of just putting it away till spring but I know when spring rolls around I will be mad at myself for not fixing it in the fall. So I am in search of some motivation to get me to fix my car. Remind me why I love a car that always needs to be fixed. I don't have a lot of money so it seems like every time I save up for a mod, I end up having to fix something else. I am getting frustrated!!!!

Just open your eyes and look at it. That should be enough motivation.

wicked,

just jump right in !!!!! that's what i did. my car has been sitting for a few weeks awaiting me to get off my lazy *** and at least change the oil so that i can drive it. but i've also got a downpipe, efini y-pipe, & short throw shifter just lying around waiting to be put in. the other night i put the baby to sleep (a real baby -- my baby girl ), then i went out to the garage and just jumped right in. i've got the airbox & most of the intake hoses pulled out so far. it's a mess. i sure hope i remember where all those hoses go some of those hoses are a bitch to get off. looking at some of them, i decided to replace them with silicone ones, so now i'm waiting for the hoses to come in now. i don't think that i'm gonna tackle the rat's nest -- just the hoses that i can get to right now. maybe do the rat's nest sometime later. since i got all this crap off the engine right now, i think i'm gonna probably replace the radiator hose (the one that i can see right now, under the airbox. i'm not sure where the other one is yet) and maybe the thermostat, too.....maybe i'm gettin a little too ambitious now

i think that once you start, you'll find that you just won't be able to stop until you're done

....good luck (to me too )
