need to know if this a good deal

ive wanted an rx7 for a LONG time, and here it is maybe the one i can get. All i need is some input from you guys who know more about them than i do .

http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/v...&car_year=1993

there it be, a 93 automatic (do'h) with a little over 82 thousand miles. It has a couple little knicks in the paint and the wing on the back is faded as well as the sideview mirrors and the roof a little. The inside is in pretty good condition and overall id rate it in good to fair condition. The engine is still stock but is in better condition than the body from what i saw when i opened up the hood. I was planning to go back and look at it again tonight at about 730 PST so all help is welcome and appreciated. Thanks guys.

alittle pricey if you ask me. 82k on the stock motor means that it is sure to go sometime soon. Also, those wheels

DO NOT BUY THAT CAR!!

like he said, It will need a new motor soon. And if you have ever driven a 5 speed rx7 and an auto there is no comparison. Autos come off the line a hole lot slower
and if you plan on driving it the way most fd owners do plan on replacing the auto about every 20k. They just dont stand up. Its not that its a shitty tranny, not that its a great one either, but Autos just dont last long on cars that get most of their power between 3500-9000rpms.

go to howstuffworks.com and read about the automatic
transmission. I think you will change your mind about
this car.

dont' buy it...especaially from a used car dealership.

If you really want an auto, that price is too high. I've seen auto-s sell for 3-5K lower than it would if it was a manual. I saw an auto with 60K and 5K on new motor in california on autotrader for 10K OBO. I thought about it....but no...can't do it.

An auto-manual conversion is something around 1-4 grand too. Do a search on it.

just keep looking for a good deal and a car in better shape. I got my 93 for $12,500 with 38,000 on it. it was immaculate. The car had a boostr leak and the guy thought the motor was bad. it costa a grand total of $54.00 to fix the coupler at the y and crossover. Ohh yea this was over 2 years ago
