Need help, gauge problems

My temperature gauge went out the other day i check all the wires and they are connected it does not move at all do i need a new gauge? is there a way to check if the wires are bad?

Is the gauge getting power? You need to verify the following:

1. Is the gauge getting power?
2. Is the gauge getting a signal from the sender?

There's not much to this gauges so you only have a few places to check.
